Today was our first snow accumulation of the season, I knew it was a possibility but there were so many unpredictable factors that I honestly was surprised this morning when Cody was in bed! Kris was up first so I got to surprise him first and he was tickled pink "no mom, no dad" and it was a no kind of no it was his attempt at "snow" of course always skipping the first letter. For Karter I crawled up in his top bunk of the bed and tickled his nose, Kris joined me still saying "no" which isn't uncommon for him so Karter hadn't recognized he was saying "snow". Karter opens his eyes with a smile and says "is it time for gymnastics?" "no baby, gymnastics was cancelled." the smile fades, and I ask "do you know why!?" "no" "because it snowed" and his eyes light up with magic "real snow, Oh my, I gotta see it!" We love snow!
Aside from our fun with the snow Karter did do a little school, no workbooks, just stuff with mom and dad randomly throughout the day. Sightwords, Addition fact flash cards, reading, board games, etc. We also made ice cream from scratch with an awesome rock and roll ice cream ball from Mimi, butter pecan ice cream, it was amazing! Karter wants to try strawberry next!
