I love preschool, it's definietly one of my favorite grades to teach, they're so eager to learn and grow. You can watch them grow and get pretty instant gratification on everything you teach them! In the past I have mostly made my own preschool routine using a variety of different tools and resources rather than following a curriculum, it's not to hard since preschool is mostly hands on. However, I have recently fallen head over heels in love with My Father's World complete package curriculum called All Aboard The Animal Train.
Prior to shipment we received a phone call from the My Father's World curriculum consultants, they called to ask if I had any questions or special needs and assured me I'd have everything I needed to get started with our Deluxe Kit that would be shipping soon. Their customer service was great and shipping was very fast. We were super excited to check it all out, here's a little video of our exciting unboxing!!

So one of the reasons I'm loving having a curriculum verses created my own modge podge preschool routine is with Kandy being the third it's easy to forget or push off my activities for her because I'm also teaching the older boys and their studies seems more important at the time. I know I'm only fooling myself because the foundations I build now will help later, so with this curriculum I have our weekly checklist and it creates accountability for me, I make sure I hit it all up and don't allow myself any excuses. After just a few days Kandy caught on to our routine and she doesn't let me forget either!
The teacher's manual is an 8.5x11 spiral bound book with approximately 185 double sided pages making it only 1/2 an inch thick. This is my favorite kind of teacher's manual; short, sweet and to the point! I love how the teacher's manual is broke down into weekly lesson plans. Weekly lesson plans is how I do school for my older boys as well so adding this worked seamlessly for us. There are 12 units in the entire curriculum, each unit is 3 weeks long. The day is set up with 4 daily activities:
Clean up time/together time: this is when we do our morning tasks - make our bed, brush our teeth, clean bedrooms, wipe down the table from breakfast, and sit down to enjoy a few minutes together on our lesson.
Surprise Time: these are enrichment activities. There's a different activity for each day of the week.
Story Time: This one is obvious, lots of reading involved for Preschool.
Outside Time: fine and gross motor skills, science, exploration, etc

Together Time
Together time is when we do our lesson, Each unit has a poster to complete that we hang on the fridge. Kandy loves that we showcase it, so we talk about the different components often! That repition helps solidify those lessons taught. There's fun little activities like "find the bear" as well, big brother is a great helper with this game. I cut the pieces out and put double sided tape on them, Krissy hides them while Kandy and I are working on something else. Then she gets to go find them all and almost always asks to play again!
Story Time
Reading is my favorite part of our day. This deluxe kit is unique in the fact that it doesn't just have a recommended reading list it comes with 10 physical books and many have multiple stories in them. The best part is all of the stories have good honest morals, character building and biblical references in them.
Surprise Time
The deluxe package comes with four awesome surprise time activities; cookie cutters, animal card matching, numbers express peg mat activity, and wooden discovery blocks with a sprial bound design book. In the teacher's manual there's a list of other great activities, most of which we already have on hand. Some of the ideas are for some really fun sensory boxes which I'm looking forward to setting up soon. You plan for 5 activities for the week and each week you can rotate one out and put in one new one.
So if you're looking for a great all-in-one curriculum that is simple to use and follow, My Father's World is a great option. It truly is the greatest preschool kit I never knew I needed!!
