This week has been slam packed all day I kept thinking it was Thursday and then tonight even I thought it was Friday...no go on a sleep in morning! haha
We had our Bethesda appointments yesterday so no school. Monday we knocked out some curriculum stuff but nothing fun or interesting.
Today we did a full day and gymnastics. Karter lagged quite a bit this morning but make anything a challenge and its way more fun and made him get his stuff done quicer! For example this afternoon, once he got bored of sight words we played a final lightning round, I give him 3 seconds (which I count out in my head) and if he doesn't get the word it's mine, whoever has the most at the end wins. He had a blast and even said "I like playing that".
Math went well, I'm still trying to fund the best way to teach him subtraction, he's doing great with manipulatives so far, he's not a fan of doing it in his head, I'm trying to avid finger counting because of the signing stumble we ran into with addition.
We had some fun in the kitchen today too, baked some cookies and juiced some fruits and veggies. The boys love the juicer and getting to make juice, even though they know what goes in it, they still eat it! we even further processed the pulp in the ninja and added a little juice to create a buddyfruit mixture! This is an excellent way to be sure we are all getting our 5 per day! :)
Karter is doing excellent in gymnastics, I'm hoping for some nice weather this week so we can go to a park and practice some of his bar work. At home we've been practicing cartwheels, summersalts, handstands and bridges.
