I love getting crafty, it's so peaceful to me! However, confessions of an OCD Homeschool Mom I don't love teaching it. I get so stressed out about it and I'm honestly not to sure why! Over the past month or so we were given an opportunity to try out Beyond the Stick Figure Complete Drawing Course PLUS 3 Bonus Courses by Beyond the Stick Figure Art School. This virtual art school has taken away the stress of teaching art and I get to be a student with the kids and we all do our art together.

Lessons are in a specific order and build upon each other, allowing them to take techniques they've learned and add new techniques in. Each lesson has a short video teaching the objective of the day, there is a workbook to download to use with the students and then they work on creating their own master pieces.

There is a material list to help you through the lessons, due to the shutdowns it did take a while for us to get our supplies. Once we did get them it made us really appreciate the good quality materials, it makes a big difference. My favorite aspects about Beyond The Stick Figure Art School is that it's not very parent intensive, and the next favorite aspects is that it's led by a homeschool mom. Her gentle reminders like "make sure the markers click shut when you're done" are just what my young artists need to hear to protect our investment made in those good quality materials! If there's anything I could change about the program it would be the ability to full screen the videos from the website, it does have the option to screen mirror to a smart TV though.
