I get to start off the new year with the honor of being selected to be apart of the 2020 The Old Schoolhouse (TOS) Review Crew. What does that mean!? I get to try out some fun new homeschool products and tell you all about it. My first review product is from SchoolhouseTeachers.com, I got to start exploring it last month. SchoolhouseTeachers.com offers the Ulimate PreK-12 Annual Membership. This membership unlocks a variety of subjects including core classes, electives, and enrichment activities for all ages.
All three of my kids were able to experiment with some part of this membership. Kandy (2) enjoyed some printables and short videos. Krissy (6) really liked practicing his spanish with the videos in the Elementary Spanish Class and doing the Architecture Class projects, even though it was out of his age range, any building activities is always up his alley.

Karter (9) brushed up on some fraction worksheets just for fun during our holiday break. Also after searching through SchoolhouseTeachers many options of Language Arts we found a perfect class called Crafting Fiction for Karter, this works great with his goal of publishing a book this year. The Architechture Class was also a winner.
Another great resource that comes with Schoolhouse Teachers is World Book. It's like a whole seperate world of learning. There's something there for everyone as well - games, activities, printables, eBooks, timelines (pre-made and make your own), encyclopedia research center and more.
Webquests - sets of downloadable questions meant to help students explore topics using the resources on World Book. They are available at all age levels for various topics, and each includes an answer key. We did the "Electronic Games" webquest, it was a neat blast from the past having the boys use their research techniques to study the history of video games.

When I first signed in I was a bit overwhelmed with how many options there were, I don't even think I've touched half of it still today. Everytime I go exploring I find more awesome stuff. The fact that these people created all these classes and they are sharing it all with us is just incredible. All of the Schoolhouse Teachers curriculum content is good, clean, wholesome material with christian worldly views, it even has disclaimers in it for the World Book content (seperate website) for subjects that advice discretion. There's literally something for everyone. It's flexible enough though that we don't have to follow it to a T, we can do bits and pieces and create something that works for our individual kids. Courses may be used online or printed. There's great planners included that you can fill in digitally or can print and hand write it in. It looks like most classes have a certificate of completetion which is always a neat incentive for our homeschoolers. There's even a subscription to Apple Core Systems to make report cards and transcripts. SchoolhouseTeachers.com can literally be an all-in-one membership, all of your children, all subjects, all of the grade levels, all of your planning and reporting all bundled up in one ultimate membership.
We used a few subjects on this ultimate pre K-12 annual membership, but other families used various levels and subjects so be sure to visit the Homeschool Review Crew to read more views.
