Karter had a friend spend the night last night (yes, on a school night because his mom had to work through the night) and the local public schools had a delay due to inclement weather, so we started school with 3 kiddos. This afternoon I got to babysit a sweet little 11 month old girl so school ended with 4 kiddos.
After doing the Pledge of Allegiance, Tylan picked what we did first this morning and he seems to have a passion for American History just like Karter, so we started out with U.S. Presidents.
For Language Arts we made a list of words that rhyme with Play (long A's) then Karter formed and wrote down a story using some of the long vowel a rhyming words.
As a tactic to keep Kris in one place during school I tried parking him in the high chair, after about 15 mins he wanted nothing to do with that, but he then played quietly with toys instead of finding trouble, so ultimately progress! We have finally con-ed him into drinking my pumped mama milk, He will drink it for anyone as long as I'm not around but thanks to Nana, chocolate milk straws have done the trick...nutritious and delicious! haha Now to start working though the 1,000 oz of momma milk I still have left!
Karter's prayer tonight (I'm gonna try to record it one night, they're always sweet and/or funny): "Dear God, thank you for my bunk bed. I love it so much. Please take care of my little brother and make sure he doesn't wake me up in the morning because I really wanna sleep in. Amen."

First page of his Presidential scrapbook! (TOP TO BOTTOM, LEFT TO RIGHT READS: *First President * died 12-14-1799 * Born and died in Virginia * Was a fox hunter *His face is on Mount Rushmore 1789-1797 George Washington) He pics the facts he wants to include on each president when we google them. Googling anything is one of his favorite things to do!
This weekends task was to clean out the garage, it was a mission completed...for the first time we actually have 2 cars parked in our 2 car garage! In the process I rotated into the house some toys that I thought Kris would enjoy. Some building blocks, a Discovery Toys boat/ball/hammer toy set, and the immediate hit - the wooden car racer. Karter got this as a gift from Nana and Pops back in 2011 when he was 1, due to it's bulkiness it has been rotated in and out a few times. Every time it gets the same reaction - Like new again! It's such a simple and classic toy and brings so much joy to all kids, I love seeing their faces when they play with it! Kris of course was very entertained by it too!
