Ever heard of Baby Legs!? I found out about them a few months back, I got a pair in a gifts set, I wondered to myself would these work for boys!? Then a friend of mine started using them with her son and I learned not only does he look stinking adoreable in them there are many perks to using them!! Name Brand Baby Legs retail for $8-$10 a pair, so they aren't the cheapest, but I did a little research and guess what!? You can make these - it's super easy, and much cheaper!!
About Baby Leg Warmers:
> Slide them on and they go from heel to diaper. Name Brand Baby Legs don't have heels on them and don't go up as high, so nice perk to making these yourself!!
> Keeps Baby's legs warm, without having to put pants on.
> One Size fits for a long time - Newborn - 2 years old-ish.
> Faster Diaper Changes!
> Protects their knees and legs during the army crawl, crawling phases.
> Looks stinking adorable on and a fun way to match outfits up, especially if you cloth diaper!!
How to Make them:
> Go on a hunt for Ladies Knee Socks, it's super easy to find girly ones, the boyish ones are harder to find but they are out there. You can find them in the Ladies sock department at Walmart, Target, K-mart, Big Lots, JC Penny, Sears, Spencers, etc. These generally cost anywhere between $2-$3.50, I've been buying seasonal ones after the holiday for as little as .50 each.

> Cut the Foot part of the sock about 1.5-2 inches from the corner of the heel. I prefer to have the heel on, if you don't want the heel part then cut just above the heel at the ankle part of the sock.
> Fold over the edge
> Sew it. You can do this with a machine or by hand, obviously faster with a machine but still a do-able project for those who don't have one. Stretch it out as you sew it so when you go to stretch it to put it on your little one you won't bust the seam!
> Repeat for the other leg...and that's it!! Your all done!! Told ya Super Easy!!
I can't wait for my little bun in the oven to try out his stash of Baby Leg Warmers!! :) I'll try to remember to come back and put some pictures of him in them!! Please post pictures of your little ones wearing your homemade Baby Leg Warmers!!
